Season Openers

Well, many of our racing crew spend the weekend RACING!!!  The road season opener was held Saturday in Louisville.  JT, Aaron and Jenny Denney, Jay Garman, Brad Herman and Adam Bourne all went up to this huge Spring Series Race and it was a fantastic time. Jay, Adam, Aaron and Charles all raced in the 4/5 field with Adam and Charles getting pack finishes. That is incredible because with field size for the 4/5 field was 94 riders!!!!  Actually, going into the final corner with 200 meters to the finish line, Charles was in excellent field position to actually win the race but he went down because some other rider cut him off! 

JT raced in the 3/4 field and had a great race with a field finish. He actually helped out some friends of Cumberland Cycles - Eric Barnett with Mullet Ranch/McDonalds. Eric was able to put a team mate off the front in a breakaway, and since JT was racing by himself, he decided to assist our friends.

Jenny Denney raced in the open women's race cat 1-4 and did very well with a 13th place finish. Jenny field included the current women's national champion.

Also racing this weekend, Sunday, in the Max Performance Triathlon in Shelbyville, were Dr. Mark Henry, DR Swanner and Dave Stewart. Mark won his division, DR got a 2nd place finish with Dave navigating a very completive field for a 4th place!!!! 

All of our races were proud to wear Cumberland Cycles Attire and we had a very good showing.
