Tour De London Prep

www.cumberlandcycles.com

Hello Crew!

Brad Herman will be doing a reconnaissance ride of the Tour De London course on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Brad just wants to ride the course to get a feel for it as he was unable to join the crew last Saturday. Meet Brad at the Farmers Market, in downtown London at 10:00 am Wednesday for the 41 mile ride.  You can reach him at 606-416-4148.

CRIT Simulation - Wednesday nights at Meece Middle School
We only have short time to get ready for the tour de London, but I think we might have a good "race simulation" course.  Yes, the racing season is almost over, but I think it would do us all well to do some fast cornering and some race simulation in the Meece Middle School Parking Lot.  The course is six-cornered, 0.31 mile course and if we can ride this a couple of times before the Tour De London Crit, it might help acclimate some of our riders to CRIT riding.

We will conduct this exercise on Wednesday - August 29, beginning at 6:30 PM and again on Wednesday - September 5, beginning at 6:30 PM. Meet in the Meece Middle School Parking lot ready to go by 6:30.

This will be full-up race simulation Criterium - one bunch start with the first four laps neutral. Just like sanctioned crits, we will let the simulation go for forty-five minutes then have a five lap count down to finish.

Show up as early as 6 PM for a full explanation of the course and the process.

We could also use some volunteers.
