First Weekend in May Rides

Hello Crew,

The team has some excellent rides this weekend. Saturday, JT, Aaron and Jenny Denney, Jack Evans, Adam Bourne rode from the Vision Senter to Laural River Dam - nearly 60 miles of burtally hilly terrane. It was an extreemly pleasant ride with some of the roads over the national forest still covered with water - refreashing. Once at the dam, the group trurned around and came back to Somerset. On the way out, we took Piney Grove Road to reduce our time on hw 192, but coming back we came straigt in on 192. It was a gourgous ride and and very inspiring.

Sunday morning, Jenny and Aaron Denney and JT rode 25 miles out to Omega and back before the general team ride. It was a fairly laid back ride and the wildflowers and blooming woods were just magnificant.

The general team ride left the vision center at 2 PM and went out Grundy to Cannon Ball Road to 1003 back in on Barnsburg with spring points paid at the church.  Then we road Pump house road back to the Vision Center. Another great ride with JT, A and J Denney, Adam Bourne, Rick Rice, Jeff Parmelee, Jack Evans and Ken (from Washington State)

We all have some very important races coming up with summer. Jack and JT and possibly Deb Fortenberry are going to particpate in the Masters National Championships in Louisville, Kentucky!  This is a road race, time trial and criterium. If anybody else is interested in attending, let me know because we have eight weeks to get ready and that is a lot of time.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we turned up a National Champion in our second year?  I'd say our chances are one in 60 so that is not bad odds!!

There are many other important race this summer which I will list out at a later time. We also have many multi-sport events as well.

The cycling year is about to kick into full swing, and we have several athletes who are ready to go!!!!
