Note from Marc Travis

Was up all.  Cumberland Cycles and our newly formed race team and local cycling club are hosting our first United States Cycling Sanctioned event here in Somerset March 22nd and we need help.  The Mt. Victory Road Race, part of the Kentucky Spring Points Series, will bring in ~150+ cyclists for the day, everything from Junior Olympic Series riders to Category 1 big dogs and we have to give them a great race.  It is really critical that we make this event go off as smooth as possible.  As we all know, first impressions mean alot!  COME ONE, COME ALL, LET'S RALLY THE TROOPS and get the numbers, better to have too many than not enough for something like this.  We are going to need people to help with parking, course observation, participant organization/management/control, lead and trail vehicle drivers, corner/course marshalls, and so many other things.  Charles and Brad have really worked hard to plan this event so let's all jump in and help.  It will be rather easy work and a great event to attend.
If you can help please contact Marc at the shop at 677-1880 or info@cumberlandcycles.com or Charles at zapodx@newwavecomm.net and we'll get you the proper form to fill out and sign.
Also, please pass this along to anyone that you think might be interested.
Thanks.

I have attached a flyer for the event and also put a short description of the series below if you want to read.
Again, thank you all for your consideration and continued support.

Series/Event Description:

Welcome to the Kentuckiana Spring Training Series sponsored by Apex Physical Therapy
Twenty-Eight Years of Racing History

The 2008 Kentuckiana Spring Training Series (KSTS) starts its 28th year of existence in 2008 as one of the most well known annual cycling events in the Midwest. Starting the first weekend in March, KSTS will attract riders from IN, KY, OH, MI, WI, TN, IL and WVA who will brave the early spring weather to get a start on their competitive cycling season.

The Kentuckiana Spring Training Series consists of eight (8) events that take place in various cities around Kentucky and Indiana and is arguably one of the most important race series for many of the teams from the states that are represented in the series.

The Series is promoted each year as an important opportunity for new teams and team members to familiarize themselves with new equipment and each other for the upcoming season.

In 2008, KSTS each event will be a Lance Armstrong Junior Olympic Series event in addition to the regular categories.

These events are all sanctioned by USA Cycling (USAC).
