Hello  Crew,

THIS WEEKEND: 
team ride, 12 PM Saturday at the Vision Center
mt bike ride:  BEE ROCK, 930 AM, Saturday, call 872-0258 if interested
club photo, 4 PM Saturday at Cumberland Cycles
Barnsburg TT, 2 PM Sunday

Well, there is only one more weekend for the rest of the entire year without a race within 200 miles of Somerset!!!!  (please see our race list:    Cumberland Cycles Races and Events 2008 ,  The American Triathlon Calendar 2008 )


The team has been logging some good miles and we have several Category V racers who will field a great team this spring!  Charles, Jay, Aaron, Roger, Jeff, DR, Jack, Brad, Nic, Frank and Jeff could all possibly converge on any single race and field a large, and noticeable Cumberland Cycles presence. For the spring series,  Adam Bourne will also be in the Category V field, but he has upgraded to CAT IV. We also have several women riders who will be racing as Cat IV's.  JT will be racing in the Category III field.

Later in the spring, after the series, several of our team mates will populate the masters fields.

I think we are poised to have a great year and I am very excited about everything!!!!

Here are some important reminders!!!!!!!!

There will be a team ride, Saturday, February 9, at the Vision Center at 12 PM.  We will ride from 20 to 30 miles.

At the Bike Shop - February 9, at 4 PM. Please, please come join us. consider it a "kick off" for our 2008 cycling season.  Please let me stress, these *pics are for anyone and everyone in our cycling community !!!!! We are looking to use these pics toshow off our  numbers.  Let others see the cyclists we have built up over the past few
years.  Please show up and help support the local bicycling community. 
The pics will be taken in a number of formats including just a pic of
all the supporting cyclists, a race team pic and some individual race
team pics.  If you have and can wear any apparel supporting the
shop/team/club colors of red/yellow/black, be it shop t-shirts, jerseys,
etc. please do.

FEBRUARY 10, SUNDAY
Barnsburg Time Trial - Event #1
The first Barnsburg Event for 2008 will be held on Sunday, February 10, at 2 PM.  This is an eight mile timed event, and each rider riders the course by themselves. One rider leaves the start/finish line each minute. The first rider is off at 2 PM so be sure to show up in time to get your start time and warm up before the 2 pm start time.

This event is open to anybody who would like to post a time.
