Hello Crew!
The team generally rides every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM from the Barnsburg Church. I believe there are other groups that ride from the church as well on the same days at 530 and even as late as 7 PM. Please contact Marc Travis at Cumberland Cycles to find out what group you might be best suited for.
Tonight's team ride consisted of seven very strong riders who rode out to climb the hill behind Adams Grocery (25-30 miles). Even though DR and Dave S. had won a 105 mile running race just last Saturday, they still showed up for our team ride! These fellows are assume club/team riders - to show up for everything our core road team can dish out even after participating and winning such a difficult race - well - it is just plain healthy. It makes me proud to have people like this on our team. Hats off to Dave and DR!
As for the ride to Adams Grocery tonight, Roger, Adam, Jack and JT locked in to brutal road combat and I think our average pace was over 20 MPH. The most impressive rider tonight was most certainly Jack Evans.... He and Adam Bourne were able to neutralize an attack by JT and then they dropped JT...... JT hooked up with Roger, just a few seconds behind and Roger and JT were NOT able to pull Jack and Adam back in!
The Crew is lean and mean and is ready for some racing! Training paces are extremely fast and it is great to see!
